Les Dames d 'Escoffier


We are a philanthropic organization of women leaders in the fields of food, fine beverage and hospitality. The by-invitation membership, composed of over 2,300 members in 40 chapters in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Mexico, is highly diversified and reflects the multifaceted fields of contemporary gastronomy and hospitality.

Dames and Disaster Relief

We are modifying this section from hurricane relief to disaster relief, to include our Dames affected by the wildfires in California. In the spirit of being a Dame, our members want to help. We will be posting information as it becomes available on the various relief activities involving Dames. 

Current Activities
The San Francisco chapter board meets the week of October 16 to map out a strategy to help Dames affected by the Northern California wildfires. Once they meet, we will pass along details of how our members can help. 

Past Activies

San Antonio - The chapter set up a mobile kitchen to serve about 600 meals on Tuesday, September 5 in Port Aransas, TX. Click here for details. 

Dallas - Dallas Dame Tiffany Derry spearheaded a relief effort in Dallas for those impacted by the storm. Click here for details.

Houston - We have been in contact with the Houston Chapter president to see what our members can do to help. She said she is waiting for the water to subside so they can survey the situation and communicate their needs. We will post that information as it becomes available.

Mercy Chefs - Dame Lynn Krause-Davis is working with Mercy Chefs, which has two feeding sites: Rockport and Friendswood, TX. The two locations are producing about 14,000 meals per day. www.mercychefs.com

Miami - Dames are still assessing the damage and will let us know if there is anything the organization can do. 

South Florida - all of the chapter Dames are safe, and like Miami, they are trying to assess the damage.
